Nov 11, 2012 quite a few years ago my dad bought 2 Yamaha Enticer 2s (one for parts)off of craigslist they were sold as 1978 sleds, t think they're early to mid 90s. The vin on the running one is 89X-001978 (hence the seller's confusion) and engine # 89X-001645. I haven't a clue how to read older VINs. Jun 08, 2008 Is there any identifying marks on the sled, serial numbers, models specs, etc. That would help me?
